About the film: Camille Claudel’s artistic ambitions and accomplishments fell under the shadow of fellow sculptor Auguste Rodin, with whom she shared a professional and romantic relationship. While struggling for recognition and respect, Claudel had to contend with gender bias in the art world, Rodin’s infidelity and her own fragile mental state.

“Camille Claudel” was nominated for Best Foreign Language Academy Award. Leading lady Isabel Adjani was also nominated for Best Actress Oscar.
